Hello I am Lina, and I'm so glad you are here!

I offer more than professional and educational experience to my clients; I bring my soul to my work. As a result of having gone through my own journey with depression, anxiety, divorce, trauma, vast spiritual exploration, and highly sensitive person (HSP) experiences, among other things, I know what it's like to be there. At the same time, I know how to get through and move beyond difficulties that seem insuperable, at the time they're happening.
Also, I am multiracial, racially ambiguous, bicultural, and bilingual (Spanish). I have lived within mixed communities my whole life, including residing in a military base during my teenage years, when I first came to the United States from México, which gave me the opportunity to interact with a great deal of various, rich ethnic backgrounds. Thus, I have a deep understanding and appreciation for multiculturalism, diversity, and racial healing. I am LGBTQIA+ allied, non-binary allied, racial justice allied, blind allied, cancer survivorship allied, and a supporter of body positivity.
My own healing path began when I was a little girl via connection to nature, and it has always integrated spirituality in some intuitive way. Since then, and in order to understand my inexplicable phenomena experiences as well as to receive much needed support, I have been an avid learner and practitioner of various spiritual paths. These spiritual adventures have included learning how to heal and take care of myself and others on an energetic level, and how to directly access universal consciousness through employing various spiritual resources as a way to access wellness and healing.
Above all, I am a dancer and a mover at heart. While 5rhythms offered me a very strong exploratory foundation into the inner workings of what needed to be healed during a very difficult time in my life, today, Soul Motion and Open Foor are my holistic movement medicine. Through conscious movement and dancing, I experience a spiritual embodied connection with the world like no other. I agree with Gabrielle Roth, who inspired by the Gestalt Therapy work of Fritz-Pearls, created and founded 5rhythms; she was quoted stating, "When we give ourselves over completely to the spirit of the dance, it becomes a prayer."
In my work with my clients, I have been led to incorporate a wide variety of therapeutic practices that integrate body, mind, heart, and spirit. Spiritually, I am aware of how my work may be influenced by Jungian Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology, Psychosynthesis, Embodied Spirituality, Centering Prayer, Zen Buddhism, Shambhala Buddhism, The Realization Process, Nondual Awareness, Meditative Inquiry, Shamanic Journeying and Healing, A Course in Miracles, and Kundalini Yoga as these have been some of the areas of exploration and practice in my healing journey.
In practicing meditation as well as yoga, I soon became aware of how the body can provide direct access to the spirit. Thus, when this body-spirit connection occurs, the mind and the emotion follow. Hence, it was at this juncture that I decided to further my studies, and dive into a Holistic Counseling, whole person approach, that supports overall health and well-being.
I have a Masters in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, a private, Buddhist- inspired and non-sectarian institution rooted in contemplative education; the birth place where the modern mindfulness movement was born. There, I studied Body Psychotherapy and Dance/Movement Therapy, and was deeply immersed in The Moving Cycle, therapeutic work by Christine Caldwell, PhD, who was the head of to the Somatic Counseling Psychology Department at the time.
In my practice, The Moving Cycle is one of the major tools I utilize, as it emphasizes the healing power of the creative movement process, and firmly holds the belief that our basic nature is whole. Some of the other body-mind psychotherapy modalities that inform how I work with my clients are Hakomi, Focusing, Gestalt, Bioenergetics, Nondual Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. I became a massage therapist and briefly practiced as one before attending Naropa University. Massage therapy training totally changed the way I interact with the world as it taught me how to truly be at ease in my own skin; it addressed the importance of paying attention to spatial relationships and how the body moves depending on the environment and the situation. Gratefully, this skill especially comes in handy when working with clients who have experienced some form of trauma, or have trouble with boundaries.
Once, a clinical supervisor called me a “Training Junkie.” The truth is, that learning new skills is my favorite hobby! I consistently spend hours and hours working on my craft in order to be able to continue to not only grow and evolve professionally, but also to keep on feeding the flame of excitement and joy that doing this work evokes in me, and that I wholeheartedly offer to you; I figured that if I am bored, you may be too (wink, wink), and that's no fun. As you can imagine, the pandemic era, which has been difficult for many, myself included, offered me the time and space to become a certified psychospiritual life coach. This 9-month training allowed me the opportunity to connect with many interesting and knowledgeable people all over the world when life seemed so utterly uncertain across the board. I believe that the Psychospiritual Institute has provided me with consciously creative and insightful transformational tools that I hope to be able to share with you. It is my hope that what I’ve learned and experienced throughout my life, is of service to you somehow.
Along the way I have learned not to take myself too seriously, and to more often reconnect with the creative soulful parts in me and in others that enjoy playing and laughing. I love dancing, reading, walking the labyrinth, learning new things, discovering interesting YouTube videos with educational content, experiencing different cultures, traveling abroad whenever possible, spending time out in nature, sitting by large bodies of water, and loving on the people and animals in my life such as Tan my life partner, my mother, and Chubby our fur baby. I don’t believe in coincidences, and I am grateful you have taken the time to visit my website.
My passion is to facilitate whole person healing; let me know how I can support yours.

Outside of the practice and work, I am passionate about my EUC (electric unicycle) hobby, which I discovered during quarantine. To my great surprise, riding EUCs not only de-stresses me after a long day, it also allows me to be part of the biking & PEV (personal electric vehicle) community.
I have made many new connections through leading & participating in group rides, teaching new EUC riders how to ride, and volunteering with the Austin Onewheel Club to make bag lunches and deliver them to the houseless community. When I am not riding my EUC, Lina my wife, and Chubby (our furry son), and I enjoy discovering new hiking trails in the greater Austin area, traveling, spending time with close friends and family, and exploring various ways to be of service in the community.

What To Expect: Transformation, if you are ready

Let's Meet-and-Greet!
To start, I offer a free online meet-and-greet consultation from a laid-back and safe space in order to connect and see if we are a good fit for each other, as well as to explore how I can best support your whole person healing, personal or professional development, and conscious transformation process. I am now offering services online and in- person at this time. Please contact me if would like to schedule your free 20-minute meet-and-greet video meeting!
Video Sessions
I will support my clients with video chat instructions prior to the first day session. I invite you to think in terms of creating your own safe cocoon for transformative healing work in the privacy of your own home. Thus, you will be encouraged to, whenever possible, have a clear space to move, stand, or lie on a mat, quilt, or blanket. It may be helpful to have an extra blanket and/or cushion to use as a prop in case it becomes necessary for extra support or to promote comfort. Also, consider wearing clothes you are comfortable moving in.
In-Person Sessions
I offer in-person sessions in a laid-back, warm, and spacious safe space in order to facilitate rapport, trust, and connection which are the foundation of transformative whole person healing. Here you'll find that there is plenty of room to explore conscious movement, boundaries, and the creative expression of your own unique transformational healing process.
Getting Started with a Discovery Session
Getting Started with a Discovery Session

Before committing to working together and moving forward with an intake session, know that either you or myself may request a discovery session. A Discovery Session is an experiential one-time session that is designed to give us both the opportunity to interact, experience, and sense what it would be like to work together. Discovery sessions are usually 1 hour, though they can go for longer than scheduled whenever more time is needed to bring a session to completion.
Thus, after you and I decide to explore the possibility of officially working together during a complimentary meet-and-greet video meeting, a discovery session may be scheduled.

Now, after you and I decide to explore the possibility of working together during a complimentary meet-and-greet video meeting, a discovery session may be scheduled to:
Once we both conclude that we are a good fit, we will then determine together, what the next course of action will be based on your goals and aspirations. At that point, we'll then discuss scheduling an intake appointment session and set up a time to meet.
Both intake sessions and discovery sessions last anywhere between 1 hour to 1 hour and a half. At this time we review completed paperwork together, and address any pertinent concerns and/or questions you may have. Moreover, during an intake appointment, I take down any information you feel comfortable providing, that includes your history and background, which could help us find the ideal starting point for you.
Whatever you feel moved to share, whenever we meet, will support your treatment/healing intention, so that together we may organically come up with and follow a healing path that addresses your concerns and empowers you to experience the life you were meant to live. It will be important that I get your feedback periodically, once we are formally working together, regarding your healing process, such as what works and what doesn't; in order to make certain we are on the same page, and ensure you get your needs met .
I do my best to promote open, honest, and authentic communication, as it will enhance our therapeutic relationship. I will encourage you to be true to what wants to happen for you and in you, one moment at a time. May our time together serve you as your lab to practice how you want to show up in the world.
"A relationship is a great gift because any intimate relationship, if we view it as practice, is the clearest mirror we can find."

I am here to wholeheartedly support you and provide you with the best holistic care possible.

- do holistic healing work
- just show up and see what arises
