Tarot or Other Symbol Cards, As a Symbolic and Intuitive Tool
The Rorschach Test and the Thematic Apperception Test (picture interpretation technique) were designed to explore personality dynamics in mental health clients and to better understand their motivations, beliefs, and inner conflicts. I sometimes use tarot cards or other symbol cards as a psychospiritual instrument to assist my clients activate their own intuitive experience, explore and process unconscious material, and access higher levels of consciousness.
Carl Jung, who is well-known for his work in psychology and spirituality, came to the conclusion that life has a spiritual purpose beyond material goals. Tarot cards are considered to be one of the spiritual tools he is known to have found useful because his teachings suggest that they can provide doorways to the unconscious, and may also be a way to explore synchronicities, archetypes, and symbols.
Tarot cards have been used by mystical societies for thousands of years, possibly making their first appearance in Egypt.

I believe that we don’t know what we don’t know. However, sometimes, we just know, even though we don’t know, how we know. Intuition is a skill that we all have, a GPS of sorts, though not all of us trust it as real because what we sense, feel, or see in our minds bodies, and hearts, may not have a logical explanation.
A great deal of the work that I do with my clients relies heavily on teaching them how to listen to themselves by employing their body as an intuitive compass and direct pathway to their spirit, mind, and heart; thus, ultimately they are empowered by being able to move through life with more ease and self-assurance.
